Very nice Wehrmacht Artillerie related Kriegsverdienstkreuz award document in used, but very good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It's named to Obergefreiten Helmet Hoffmann who served in the Stabsbatterie III.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 258. This unit was formed in late August 1939 and was part of the 258.Infanterie-Division. This division saw its first combat during the invasion of Poland in September 1939. After that it participated in the invasion of France and in June 1941 onwards it fought in Russia in areas like, Bialystok, Jelna, Juchnow, Gshatsk, Nikopol and more.
The medal was awarded on the 20th of April 1943.
Its signed by Generalleutnant Hanskurt Höcker, wearer of the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold and Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes.
