The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It's named to Hauptfeldwebel Willi Rauscher who served in the Luftnachrichten-Stelle Fliegerhorst Kommandantur E 17/VII. This unit was formed in late August 1939 as Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E Bermaringen. In early 1940 is was renamend into Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E 17/VII. In July 1940 is moved to Bourges, France. It stayed in France until October 1944 when it was disbanned.
The medal was awarded on the 22nd of November 1940.
