Very nice Luftwaffe Flak related Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse award document in used, but very good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. The War Merit Cross was awarded to Unteroffiezer Heinrich Müller. Heinrich served in the 3.batterie/leichte Reserve Flak Abteilung 873. The medal was awarded on the 1st of September 1941 and is signed by General der Flieger Ludwig Wolff.
This unit was formed in July 1941 and operated in France. In 1942 it operated in Le Havre and in February 1943 moved to Rennes. At the beginning of 1944 it moved back to Le Havre and in June 1944 it was put into action in the Cherbourg area were it sufferred heavy losses. In October 1944 the abteilung was disbanned.
