The document shows overall normal signs of wear. The KVKII was awarded to Unteroffizier Karl Weidemann who served in the 2.Marschkompanie Grenadier Ersatz und Ausbildungs Bataillon 11. This unit was formed in late August 1939 as Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 11. It trained and supplied soldiers for Infanterie Regiment 11 which later became Grenadier Regiment 11 and also supplied soldier for Grenadier Regiment 53. It also trained personel for different Feldkommandanturen and Ortskommandanturen.
The medal was awarded on the 4th of December 1943.
