The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It's solid and void of damages. The medal was issued to Schützen Ernst Prückl who served within the Feldeisenbahn-Maschinenabteilung 1. This unit was formed in March 1941 as Feldeisenbahn Maschinenamt 1 and fell under the command of Feldeisenbahndirektion 1. From January till June 1943 the unit operated in Woronesh, Russia. From June onwards it operated in Belgrad and in September in Croatia.
The medal was issued on the 20th of April 1943 and the document is signed by Generalleutnant Rolf Wuthmann.
