Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht Artillerie related tag in used, but very good condition.

The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a NCO or CO who served in the Stabsbatterie Reserve Artillerie Abteilung 171. Unfortunately no information can be found online on this unit, but after some research we know that this unit existed before 1941 with a Stab, Nachrichtenzug and Vermessungstrupp.
It was problably a very small unit with a couple of hundred men and existed only shortly.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
