The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 9.Batterie Artillerie Lehr Regiment. This regiment was formed in October 1934 in Jüterborg. It trained and supplied artillerie soldiers for different artillerie and assault gun units.
In June 1941 the regiment was used to form Artillerie Lehr Regiment 1-5.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
