Very nice Wehrmacht Artillerie related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a NCO/Officer who served in the Stabskompanie III.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 36. This regiment was formed in October 1936 in Babenhausen. It was part of the 36.Infanterie-Division and saw it's first combat during France which took place in May 1940. From June 1941 onwards it operated in Russia in areas like Pleskau, Leningrad, Moskau, Klin, Smolensk and Bobruisk.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
