Very nice press photograph in very good condition of Knight's Cross winner Oberst Siegfried Kossack.
The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. There is no paper caption on the back, but it appears there never was one.
The moment the photo was taken Siegfried was the commander of the Grenadier Regiment 1051 which was part of the 84.Infanterie-Division. This division fought, in the Autumn of 1944, in the Venlo area and late in the Kleve (Germany) area as part of the 1.Fallschirm-Armee.
Hans earned the Ritterkreuz on the 18th of November 1944.
