The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. The moment the photo was taken Kurt was commander of the 291.Infanterie-Division. He earned the Ritterkreuz (Oct. 1941) for his actions in the attack of Leningrad in 1941. His division played a keyrole in pushing back the Sovjets.
On the photograph In the picture, he is accompanied by members of the Waffen-SS. Kurt earned the Eichenlaub in Januray 1945.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated August 1942.
