The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Luftwaffe Bau Kompanie (mot) 9/III. The '2.W.' stands for 2 Welle or 2nd (mobilisation) wave that took place in the 1939 before the invasion of Poland. The 'III' is the Luftgau number.
