Both documents show overall normal signs of wear. They where award to Max who served in the 6.Kompanie Kraftfahr Abteilung 532. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 as Nachschub-Kolonnen-Abteilung 532. It was put into action during the invasion of Poland, France and from June 1941 in Russia. In Februari 1943 the abteilung was renamed into Kraftfahr-Abteilung 532 and 6 companies where formed.
Max was awarded the Ostmedaille on 26.5.1942. He was then a Obergefreiten. On 27.02.1945 Max was awarded the Eiserene Kreuz 2.Klasse. He was then a Stabsgefreiten.
The document is signed by Der Oberbefehlshaber der 9.Armee und General der Infanterie Theodor Busse, wearer of the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes and Deutsches Kreuz in Gold.
