The document shows overall signs of wear. Folded twice but its solid. Small tear in the middle, on the edge. The Infanterie Sturmabzeichen was awarded on 18 August 1941. Hubert served in the 5.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 170. This regiment was formed in August 1939 and was part of the 73.Infanterie-Division. With this division the regiment saw combat during the invasion of Poland. After Poland it participated in the invasion of France via Luxembourg. In March 1941 it participated in the Balkanfeldzug and after that Russia. It fought in areas like Jassy,Krim,Mius, Kaukasus, Sewastopol, Warschau and finally Danzig. The document is signed by the Oberst and Regimentskommandeur.
