The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.batterie Artillerie Regiment 22. This regiment was formed in October 1935 and part of the 22.(Luftlande).Infanterie-Divsion which saw action during the invasion of The Netherlands, Russia, Crete, Africa, Greece and Croatia.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
