Very nice Gebirgs Artillerie related woundbadge in black award document in used, but very good condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It named to Wachtmeister Günter Raschke who served in the 1.Batterie Gebirgs-Artillerie Regiment 85. This regiment was formed in December 1940 and was part of the 101.leichte Infanterie-Division. It saw its first combat in Croatia and after that in Kiev and Charkow. In July 1942 the I. and II.Abteilungen became Gebirgs-Abteilungen. The division was renamed in the 101.Jäger-Division in June of that same year.
The document is dated 16th of August 1944 and he was awarded the medal for the wound he got on the 27th of July 1944. The document is signed by Hauptmann und Abteilung Kommandeur Günther Handke. Handke was wearer of the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold and Ehrenblattspange des Heeres und SS (1945)
