The document shows overall normal signs of storage wear. The medal was awarded to Obergefreiten Horst Schilaske who served in the 3.Kompanie Fallschirmjäger Regiment 11. This regiment was formed in late October 1943 from the III.bataillon Fallschirmjäger Regiment 6 and it became part of the 4.Fallschirm-Division. It operated in Italy in areas like Anzio, Nettuno, Rome, Rimini, Bologna, Verona and Bozen.
The document is dated 30 March 1945.
