The tag or 'Erkenungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a NCO/CO who served in the Stabskompanie Fallschirmjäger Regiment 11. This regiment was formed in October 1943 from the II.Bataillon of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 6 and was part of the 4.Fallschirm-Division. This division and her units operated in Italy in areas like Anzio, Rome, Rimini, Bologna and Verona.
This tag was made by the soldier himself as he must have lost the first one.
