The overall condition of the canteen is excellent. The canteen comes with the attachment hook on the back which is marked with the makers logo and dated '1943'. The leather straps are supple and solid. The canteen is nicely 'RBNr.0/0570/0138' in the neck and the bakelite canteen lid is nicely marked on top. The black bakelite cup is also in good condition and nicely maker marked 'gfc' ('Julius Posselt' from 'Gablonz an der Neisse, Sudetenland') and dated '1943'. The felt cover is in used but good condition (some tiny surface bites). The cover is not visible maker marked. The buttons on the felt cover are present and workable.

All in all, a very nice year matching 1-litre Wehrmacht medical canteen.
