Alle the parts of this canteen are in very good (near mint) condition and the leather is very supple. It comes with a red painted flask with the maker mark 'MN1944', meaning the maker is 'Menesa Metallindustrie GmbH' from 'Neunkirchen-Saar' and the date of production '1944'. The green aluminium cup is marked by the same maker 'MN44'. The leather strap that holds the lid is also marked (hard to read), as is the the snap hook on the inside.
Overall a very nice and beautifull late war canteen which is very hard to find in this condition.
