Very nice press photograph of Knight's Cross winner Unteroffizier Hubert Brinkforth.
The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. Hubert died two weeks before this press photograph was released on the 19th of June 1942 (he died in combat on the 5th of June 1942).
Hubert was Richtschütze 14.Panzerjager Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 25 which was part of the 2.Infantertie-Division.
Hubert earned the Ritterkreuz for his actions during the invasion of France in late Mai 1940. With his antitank canon he took out 9 British tanks near the town of Abbeville.
Brinkforth was the first (lower rank) soldier who was awarded the Ritterkreuz.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm.
