The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. When this photo was taken Walter was the Kommandeur I.Gruppe Stukageschwader 3.
Walter earned the Ritterkreuz in March 1942. In April 1942 he earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold and In September 1942 Walter was awarded the Eichenlaub (for the Ritterkreuz).
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Its dated 11 February 1942.
