The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. The moment the photo was taken Heinrich was commander of the U181.
Wolfgang earned the Ritterkreuz in October 1940 as the commander of U138. In November 1942 Wolfgang was awarded the Eichenlaub (for the Ritterkreuz) as commander of U181, In April 1943 the Eichenlaub mit Schwerten and in August 1943 the Brillanten.
