Impressive 6-piece award document grouping in used, but very good condition.
The grouping shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. They belonged to Feldwebel Karl Feichtenschlager who served within the 13.Kompanie Jäger Regiment 54. This regiment was formed in late Ocotber 1934 as Infanterie Regiment 54 and was part of the 18.Infanterie-Division when they invaded Poland in September 1939. After Poland it participated in the invasion of France that started in May 1940. In October of that same year the regiment became part of the newly formed 100.leichte Infanterie-Division. In June 1941 it participated in the invasion of Russia and operated in areas like Kiev, Charkow, Mius and Taganrog. In April 1942 the regiment was renamed into Jäger Regiment 54 and the division into the 100.Jäger-Division. It participated in the battles of Stalingrad and was destroyed in February 1943.
That same month it was rebuild again from replacements and soldiers who escaped the encirclement of Stalingrad. It moved to Croatia were it also operated and in September 1943 it operated in Albania. In the spring of 1944 it moved to Urkaine and fought in Tarnopol and Karpaten.
