All documents in the grouping show normal signs of wear. It's named to Unteroffizier Friedrich Schweinfurth who served in the 14.(panzerjäger) Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 529
The grouping consist out of;

  • Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen award document. Dated 15 March 1940. It's signed by Generalleutnant Erwin Oßwald. Wearer of the Deutsches Kreuz in Silber. Friedrich served in the 14.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 13.
  • Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse award docuement. Dated 21 July 1941. It's signed by  General der Artillerie Willi Moser. Wearer of the Deutschtes Kreuz in Gold and the Ritterkreuz. Now Friedrich served in the 14.(Pz.jg.) Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 529. 
  • Beförderung (Promotion) Document. Dated 27 June 1942. Friedrich was promoted from Unteroffizier to Feldwebel. 
  • Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber award document. Dated 5 October 1942. 
  • Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Bronze award document. Dated 7 April 1943. 

Infanterie Regiment 529, later Grenadier Regiment 529,  was formed in January 1940 and was part of the 299.Infanterie-Division. It saw it's first combat during the invasion of France that took place in May 1940. From June 1941 onwards it operated on the eastern front and fought in areas like Shitomir, Liwny, Gomel, Witebsk, Bobruisk and Heiligenbeil.
