The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Infanterie Reiter Ersatz und Ausbildung Abteilung 2. We did some searching on this unit and it is probably part of the Infanterie Reiter Ersatz Abteilung 2 which was formed in early 1945! in Bamberg.
On the back the tag is marked with 'O' on both parts with stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
