Very nice Infanterie Regiment 16 related Krim shield award document in very good condition.

The document shows overall normal signs of storage wear. It was issued to Gefreiten Ewald Möller who served within the 2.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 16. The shield was award on the 10th of December 1942. This regiment was part of the 22.(LL.) Infanterie-Division (Luftlande) which saw its first combat during the invasion of Holland. After that it operated in Rumania and fome June 1941 onwards it operated in Russia. It saw combat in Perekop and the Krim.
From August 1942 till October 1944 it operated on Crete, in Greece and in Afrika. In the last stage of the war it operated in Serbia and Croatia.
