Very nice set of Panzerjäger unit related award document is used, but good condition.
The set shows overall signs of wear. They were issued to Gefreiter Ernst Klöckner who served in the 3.Kompanie Panzerjäger Abteilung 42. This unit was formed in 1938 as Panzer Abwehr Abteilung 42 and was part of the 2.leichte-Division. This division saw its first combat during the invasion of Poland in September 1939. In October 1939 the division was renamed into the 7.Panzer-Division and in April 1940 the abteilung was renamed into Panzerjäger Abteilung 42.
In Mai 1940 it participated in the invasion of France and in the early summer of 1941 it participated in the invasion of Russia. In Russia it fought in areas like Smolensk, Rshew, Isjum, Belgorod, Shitomir and in the last stage in Lithuania.
