Death notice cards of two brothers from Walding.
The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice of Jager Sebastian Georg died in Russia on the 4th of June 1942. Sebastian served in the 1.Kompanie Gebirgsjager Regiment 98.
His brother Franz Georg died on the 21st of December 1942 in Afrika. Franz served within the 2.Kompanie Pionier Bataillon (motorisiert) 900. This bataillon was formed in May 1941 and was part of the Deutschen Afrika Korps. In August 1941 the bataillon became part of Panzergruppe Afrika. According to the notice Franz was awarded the EKII,Sturmabzeichen and the Italien - Tapferkeitsmedaille.
