The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Franz died on the 9 April 1944 in Zlotniki, Ukraine. Franz first served in the 5.Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 132 and then in Jäger Ersatz Bataillon 482. This bataillon trained and supplied men for Jäger Regiment 54. Franz served in 3.Kompanie of that regiment at the time of his death.
