Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht Artillerie related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the Nachrichten Batterie Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 158. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Flendsburg. However the abteilung was used in September to form the leichte Artillerie Abteilung 750. This unit became part of the 60.Infanterie-Division in November 1939. The abteilung was used to form the II.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 160 in April 1940.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
Nice tag of a unit that exsisted only a couple of weeks.
