The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 6.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 531. This regiment was formed in early 1942 and was part of the 383.Infanterie-Division. It operated in in Russia in areas like Woronesch, Orel and Bobruisk.
In June 1944 the regiment was destroyed.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
