The canteen, the strap of the canteen lid and the feltcover are all marked with the makers code 'W.A.L', which indicates the maker is 'Westfalische Aluminium Industrie, Junger & Co' from 'Lüdenscheid'. The strap of the canteen lid and the feltcover are dated '1942' and the canteen itself is dated '1941'. The canteen comes with a nice dark brown bakelite cup and black bakelite lid which are both marked and in used condition. The webbing straps are in nice and supple condition. The tip is marked 'lux'.
