Very nice and rare Festungs Flak related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a NCO/CO who served within the Stabskompanie Festungs Flak Regiment 32. This regiment was formed in July 1938 as Festungs Flak Abteilung 32. It was stationed in St. Wendel. In August 1939 the unit was renamed into Festungs Flak Regiment 32 and fell under the command of the Höherer Kommandeur der Festungs-Flakartillerie III. During the was the batteries of the regiment were devided over different areas in France.
In July 1941 the regiment was disbanned and the Stab was used to form the Stab/Flak Regiment 69 which operated in France in the Marseille area till August 1944 and then moved back to Germany.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
