The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in a batterie of schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 36N. This unit was formed in late August 1939 in Wolfenbüttel. In 1941 it was converted to a heavy (Schwere) Flak unit. In 1944 the unit was enlarged to a total of 8.batteries.
The 'N' behind the unit number (36) stands probably for 'Neu' or New. Maybe this was added the unit was converted in 1941. It's not entirely sure.
