The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. The moment the photo was taken Staffelkapitän Hermann Graf was commander of the 9.Staffel III.Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 52. Adolf Dickfeld was commander of the 7.Staffel III.Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 52.
Graf earned the Ritterkreuz on the 24th of January 1942, the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub on in May 1942, the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten in May 1942 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub, Schwerten und Brillanten in September 1942.
Dickfeld earned the Ritterkreuz on the 19th of March 1942 and the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub in May 1942.
