The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. Part of the paper caption is still present on the back and there is some additional writing.
Augustin earned the Ritterkreuz on the 12th of March 1942 as the 1st commander of the 250.infanterie-Division also known as the Blaue Division or 'Division Azul' which was a Spanish division fighting for the Germans mainly on the eastern front.
Augustin also earned the Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub on the 13th of December 1942. He handed over the commond of the division in late December 1942 to Generalleutnant Emilio Esteban Infantes.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated 11.4.1942.
