The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. The moment the photograph was taken Hubert was Richtschütze 14.Panzerjager Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 25 which was part of the 2.Infantertie-Division.
Hubert earned the Ritterkreuz for his actions during the invasion of France in late Mai 1940. With his antitank canon he took out 9 British tanks near the town of Abbeville.
Brinkforth was the first (lower rank) soldier who was awarded the Ritterkreuz.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated 2.4.1941.
