The condition is of the stein is excellent! It was a wedding gift from the recipient's old roommates, when they were all members of the 'Nachrichten Ersatz Kompanie 17'. It's nicely dated '9-11-1939' and has multiple markings on the side and bottom. The lid is nicely maker marked by 'Strähle' from 'Nürnberg'.
Awesome and very decorative piece that is not easy to find.
