The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It was issued to Unteroffizier Johann Fleischer who served in the Luftwaffe Bau Bataillon 23/XI. This unit was formed in the summer of 1940 from Heeres Bau Bataillon 225. In June 1941 it operated in Rostken/East Prussia and in July 1941 also at the Minsk-South airfield. The unit was disbanned in February 1942.
