Nice Infanterie Regiment 46 related Wehrpass in good condition.
The Wehrpass shows normal signs of use. It's solid and complete with all pages. It belonged to soldier Julius Johannes Edebohls. Julius was drafted in July 1939 in the 2.Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 46. After 2 months he moved to the 3.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 46. With this unit Julius was stationed in Holland from December 1940 untill late May 1941 in the areas Den Haag, Utrecht and Leiden. The regiment, as part of the 30.Infanterie-Division, participated in the invasion of Russia. Julius fought in Russia from 22.6.1941 untill his dead on 19.8.1941. He died during heavy combat in the area of the Russian city Pestowo.
The Wehrpass is complete with the portrait of Julius plus an extra portrait of him in his waffenrock. The pass comes with an extra document which is a letter from the Wehrmeldeamt Wesermünde that is a handing over of his Wehrpass to his parents. It's dated 27.2.1942.
