The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Siegfried died on the 4th of Januari 1942. He served in the 12.Kompanie Gebirgsjager Regiment 136 at the time he died. This regiment was formed in August 1938 and was part of the 2.Gebirgs-Division. The notice shows a large photograph of Siegfried wearing his bergmutze and officer's tunic with zweidorn belt. Siegfried fought during the invasion of Poland and Norway.
