Death notice card of Oberjager Stefan Ruhland who died during combat in the area of Tossna, Russia.
The card shows overall normal signs of wear. According the notice Stefan died on the 25 of August 1942. He served in the 8.Kompanie Gebirgsjager Regiment 100 at the time he died. This regiment was formed in October 1935 and was part of the 1.Gebirgs-Division. Stefan participated in the invasion of Poland, France, Greece and Crete.
Stefan was decorated with the EK2 and Infanterie Sturmabzeichen. According to the information on the card Stefan died of direct Artillerie hit, 'Artillerie Voltreffer'.
