The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 'Flak Ersatz Abteilung 45'. The abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Rottweil/Neckar with 4 batteries. In 1941 it was converted in to Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 45. It was the entire war stationed in Rottweil as part of Luftgau Kommando VII and later Flak Ersatz Regiment 3.
