The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Ersatz Kompanie für Infanterie-Reitzug Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 4. The regiment was formed in late August 1939 in Dresden and trained and supplied soldier for 4.Infanterie-Division which became the 14.Panzer-Division in November 1940.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
