Very nice aluminium Luftwaffe Flak related in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted/served in the 4.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 37. This unit was formed in December 1940 in Breslau-Hartlieb with 4 batteries. In 1941 it was converted in to schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 37 and in June 1941 divided into an Ersatz and an Ausbildungs abteilung. In 1944 the abteilung was increased to a total of 8 batteries. The unit was the entire war stationed in Breslau-Hartlieb.
On the back the soldier carved in his POW number '743945' and also the date 7.4.1945 which is probably the dat on which he was captured?
