The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.Batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 51. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Stettin-Kreckow with 4 batteries. In 1941 it was converted in to Schwere Flak Ersatz Abteilung 51. In 1944 the abteilung was increased to 9 batteries.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
