The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal sign of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 4.Kraftfahr Kompanie Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 62. This unit was formed in late August 1939 in Dusseldorf. It trained and supplied soldiers for different units such as the Kustenartillerie Abteilung 906, Artillerie Abteilung 616, 630, 730, 777 and Artillerie Regiment 42, 52, 62, 139, 155 and 818.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
Kraftfahr Batterie related tags are not so easy to find.
