3.Komp.Landesschtz. Ers.Batl.12 EKM (Published)
Very nice zinc dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' from a soldier who was drafted in the 2.Kompanie Landesschützen Ersatz Bataillon 12.
The tag shows overall normal signs of use. The soldier served within the 2.Kompanie Landesschützen Ersatz Bataillon 12. This bataillon was formed in March 1940 in Wiesbaden with 3 kompanies.
This bataillontrained and supplied soldiers for dozens of differen units such as Landesschützen Bataillone, Sicherungs Regimenter, Frontstalag units, Wach-Bataillone, Kriegsgefangenen-Bau- und Arbeits-Bataillone.
This tag is published in the book 'Deutsche Erkennungsmarken' by Jean Höidal (page 127).
