Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in 3.(Ausbildungs) Kompanie (I.Bataillon) Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 43. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Crailsheim. In august 1942 the regiment was renamed into Flieger-Regiment 43. In October of that year the regiment was used to form Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 7. In December it was put into action for the first time along the Don river. Here it sufferred heavy losses.
In March 1943 the remnants of the division were absorded within Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 15. The division, and her units saw heavy combat in the area of Mius and where almost destroyed. The division was disbanned in November and the remnants were absorbed within the 336.Infanterie-Division. It was put into action on the Krim where it was destroyed in May 1944.
