Nice aluminium 3.Batterie Leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 30 dog tag in used, but good condition
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 3.Battereie Leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 30. This abteilung was formed in August of 1939 in Rendsburg. The abteilung trained and supplied men for different Artillerie Regiments like the 30, 183 and 402. It also supplied men for 3 different Heeres-Küstenartillerie-Abteilungen.
In mid September the abteilung was mobilized and send to Holland. Here it was used to form the I.Abteilung of Artillerie Regiment 890. This regiment was part of the 190.Infanterie-Division. It fought in areas like Kleve,Reichswald and later in Venlo.
In March 1945 it was strengthen in Raum Utrecht-Hilversum.
